How Patient-Centered Recognition Prepares You for MIPS and APMs

This presentation will provide participants with a better understanding of how attaining and maintaining PCMH or PCSP recognition will help them improve in their transition to MIPS. We will explain how patient-centered recognition gives full credit for the Improvement Activities category in MIPS. The PCMH approach also prepares practices to perform well in the Quality category of MIPS through monitoring quality measures, acting to improve, and remeasuring performance. Learning Objectives
  • Understand how PCMH & PCSP can help them succeed in the new CMS payment model
  • Understand where they are in regards to MIPS/APM and identify at least one resource they will need to make this transition
  • Identify at least two quality measures that align with CMS MIPS measures that they can act to improve during PCMH/PCSP transformation and maintenance
